Those of them who are looking to purchase or rent a home are often discriminated in subtle forms, according to a recent survey held by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. Minority costumers are shown fewer available units than whites, even though they were less likely to face apartment refusals of appointments to see the home. Additionally, Blacks, Hispanics and Asians were offered less options on financing plan and asked more questions on their finances, the study showed.
